PERFORMANCE?

Discovering, Changing, and Creating frame our research and analysis on top quartile benchmarks and high value-adding best practices. This uncommon focus is in our team DNA. In each of our 10 Intersectoral Programs, DCC research and analysis identifies the substantial gap between the top quartile and the bottom quartile and reports the highest value-adding best practices for improving performance. Intersectoral commerce performance metrics include: positive growth, productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, cost reduction, value creation, and ROI.

3. HOW DID JAPONICA INTERSECT EVOLVE?

Japonica InterSect was founded in 2002 to provide global benchmarking and best practice research for a global, private operating foundation, the Charles & Agnes Kazarian Eternal Foundation (CAKE). True to the capitalist-philanthropist principles espoused in New Philanthropy Benchmarking, CAKE demands top quartile performance. As a captive subsidiary, JI provides the high value-adding tools for CAKE and its global network of capitalist-philanthropists to substantially increase their mission critical performance.

Established in 1998, the CAKE Foundation has grown rapidly to 77 professionals across four continents. Primary projects focus on three sectors: economic development, education & athletics, and technology. Programs span the globe from the United States to Armenia and Israel. To date, CAKE programs have benefited more than 1,500 individuals in developing economies. Average annual distributions target 10% of assets. The Foundation’s financial metrics also have grown exponentially.
